Who runs this site

CanduCardio is a personal, free, non-profit website run by Juan Carlos Benavides Ramirez (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina). Contact: healthmundo@gmail.com.

What data we store

None from people browsing the site: there is no visitor registration or account. The only exception is the content removal form: if you use it, we store what you write (name, email, institution, link and reason) only to answer and handle that request. It is not shared with third parties and is deleted 12 months after the request, once resolved. You can ask for access, correction or deletion earlier by emailing healthmundo@gmail.com.
Cookies: the site uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, which is why we do not show a cookie consent banner. (Video and audio platforms may use their own only once you press “play” or “Listen”: see below.)
CanduSchool progress: when you open a course, your browser keeps in its own local storage (not a cookie) which lessons you watched and where you left off, to show “Continue watching”. This data is never sent to CanduCardio or third parties, does not identify you and exists only in that browser. You can delete it with the “Clear my progress” button on each course or by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
Professional or Patient: if you choose “Patient” in the selector at the top, your browser remembers it in its local storage (not a cookie) to keep showing you only content for patients. This data is never sent to CanduCardio or third parties, does not identify you and exists only in that browser. It is erased when you choose “Professional” again or clear the site’s data in your browser. Also, while the site is open, the browser remembers the last section you visited in each mode, to take you back there when you switch modes; this is erased automatically when you close the tab.
“Near me” in CanduEvents: only if you tap that button, your browser asks for permission to use your location. It is used inside your own browser, rounded to about 1 km, to sort in-person events by distance. It is not stored or sent to CanduCardio or any third party, and it is gone when you close or reload the page. “View on map” links open Google Maps with the venue's public address, only if you tap them.
We do not store which videos you watch or what you search for: searches travel in the page address.

Video platforms

Videos are not hosted on CanduCardio. Thumbnails load from YouTube, Vimeo or Dailymotion servers, which receive technical data such as your IP address. The player only loads when you press “play” (in CanduClips, when you press “Start”: from then on each clip loads and starts muted as you reach it); from then on, the platform may use its own cookies under its own policy. YouTube is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

CanduAudio (podcasts)

Podcasts are not hosted on CanduCardio either: each episode lives on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Buzzsprout or iVoox. Cover images load from that platform's servers, which receive technical data such as your IP address. Its official player only loads when you press “Listen”; from then on, the platform may use its own cookies under its own policy. YouTube is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

CanduTV and minors

CanduTV brings together health documentaries, series, animations and programs for the general public, published by health agencies, public broadcasters and producers on their official channels. Some are made for children: the site is not directed at minors, does not ask for or store any of their data, and we recommend they watch with an adult. Videos marked as made for kids by their author play with the restrictions the platform itself applies to that kind of content.

Hosting

Like any website, the hosting provider may log technical data about visits (IP address, browser, requested page, date and time) for security purposes and for a short period. We do not use this data to identify you.

Authors: content removal

If you hold the rights to a video, clip or episode and do not want it listed on CanduCardio, use the removal form or email us at healthmundo@gmail.com with the link, and we will remove it promptly.
